DESCRIPTION:The Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE) course was developed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) with input from the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Technical Advisory Panel (TAP)\, and the Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police. Those who do not pass\, will be dismissed and will not receive course credit.  If you feel you would have difficulty passing the proficiency test\, an SFST Refresher course might help.  Visit our partner program\, Texas SFST\, Texas SFST for FREE training near you or delivered to your agency. \nARIDE prerequisites: \nCommissioned Texas Peace Officer \nSuccessful completion of the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) 24-Hour Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Practitioner Course\, 2176 or 2067; or the SFST taken with Academy \nYou are required to submit a copy of your TCOLE PSR showing successful completion of one of the prerequisite courses in order to have your place confirmed in the course.
